USCG licensed, Captains Ron Rose, John Struchen and Kathy Struchen bring years of experience in both the training and sailing club aspects of their business.  All are experienced, American Sailing Association, ASA, instructors.  Ron has been involved with Lake Lanier Sailing Academy since 1995 holding positions as instructor, "Team Sail" manager, sailing school master, and general manager of the Academy including its Passport Sailing Club.  He has been sailing and chartering over 30 years and was rated as one of ASA's outstanding instructors in 2006.  John and Kathy, both, long time sailors have now been the owner operators of Lanier Sailing Academy - Pensacola for the past ten years over which they have grown and managed the highly successful Buccaneer Sailing Club.  Kathy and John are a stupendously fun couple and great captains, who know their way around the BVIs, Florida Keys and the Gulf Coast.  Lanier Sailing Academy - Pensacola certifies over 50 students a year to the American Sailing Association's Bareboat Charter level.  It was awarded 2006 - 08 ASA "School of the Year" and 2006 - 2009 "Instructor of The Year" honors.

All three partners are bareboaters and certified ASA instructors who teach bareboat charter and advanced coastal cruising.  Their collective experience,  enables them to pass along useful insights about what makes a great charter experience which goes beyond operating and sailing a charter yacht.
